Redefining the Houston landscape, The Midtown is set to become the first high-rise residential project in the emerging Midtown neighborhood of Houston, Texas. Reaching 27-levels, this world class building is located across from the newly created Midtown Park, and alongside Houston’s main public transport arterial, connecting it to Downtown, the Medical Center and the sports precincts.

Laneway Development’s Role:

Laneway’s operatives were solely responsible for identifying Houston, and specifically the Midtown neighborhood as a target market for the client. Laneway identified the site, and managed the acquisition process including preparing the underwriting, managing all design work and the development strategy. We were also successful at educating the client on the possibilities and undertakings of the multi-family (build-to-rent) asset class.

Laneway subsequently managed the entire development process through to construction, including underwriting, design, permitting, builder (general contractor) selection and engagement, and senior and mezzanine debt fundraising.
